About Jeremy K

I was born in Malawi, schooled in Zimbabwe, attending university in Johannesburg, graduating in 1981. I held a number of roles in financial analysis and planning, strategic analysis and cost management for companies including Steinmuller Africa, then (in the UK) Rank Xerox, Albright & Wilson and KPMG and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA) in that time. In 1991 I moved into strategic business consulting for KPMG as a collaborative change specialist on major transformation and company-wider system implementations.
In 1995 I went independent and gradually shifted my work over time to team and group facilitation, leadership development, collaborative change and executive coaching. My clients extend across the various industry sectors including major banks and insurance companies, government and local government departments, professional service firms, media and publishing companies, major charities and NGOs, global mining companies, fashion companies and retailers, the world’s biggest pharmaceutical companies, property and construction companies, automotive, scientific, electronic companies, some of the major food companies and the top universities and other further education bodies in the UK. As part of this I have also worked with senior individuals and teams in some major family organisations and some small charities, start-ups and social enterprises. I have worked with leadership teams at all levels including C-suite teams and chief executives.
I am associated with the Moller Institute of Executive Education at Churchill College, Cambridge University where I am also faculty on their Advanced Coaching programme and their Explorer Mindset Leadership programme. I am also faculty on the Executive MBA and other leadership programmes at the IMD in Lausanne. I coordinate and supervise a community of coaches for the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership at Cambridge University. I have been a Non-Executive Director for the Academy of Executive Coaches. I am accredited to use Myers Briggs Personality Assessment tool, MBTI, and DISC behavioural tool and psychometric tools Hogan and NEO.

I have worked across the world, sometimes in dangerous contexts, and with people of almost every nationality, including in some very remote areas such as an island in Papua New Guinea, a copper mine in the Sahara Desert, in the remote villages on the border between Tamil Nadu and Kerala in India, a frozen lake in the northern Swedish tundra and some very rural poor farming areas in Kenya. I somehow have found myself often working with cross cultural teams where English is the common but not first language for any of them. I absolutely love my work!
